Text messages show different contact names and pics

Lately when i get text messages from different people, my droid 2 global will display the wring name and pic. Even after i return to home screen and then re-open the text messages it stays with the wrong name and pic. This only happens randomly and not to any specific person. Any fixes or ideas of why?
