Text messages not sent?

under the notification drag down there is always a message that says 5 text messages not sent. I have deleted all my texts, shut off my phone, took the battery out, and it still pops up every time I either get a new text or open my text messages. Anyone else have this problem or know of a way to get rid of this?

I get it sometimes. Do you send a lot of texts right after one another? It might be that your sending too many texts at the same time.
I dont text as much any more and haven't had the problem in a while
