What rom are you doing this for? I think your services.jar isn't deodexed is your issue.

Im just working on my own rom I've built its not a bugless beast or anything. Its just me editing the files and pushing them back to the phone. So my Services.jar is the stock one that's on the phone I guess

K, you need to deodex the system for this to work. That is why it is giving you this error. It is looking for the classes.dex which isn't there. It will only be there once deodex. Look at Xultimate for deodexing.

I am getting some java errors. Right now I am going to assume it's with the environmental variables.

I have java installed in c:\program files\jre6 and the other in c:\program files\jd1.6.0_21

What would be my classpath and path on that?

If someone could just post their ENTIRE path and classpath that would be great. I can decipher what everythng is.

Hopefully people are still checking this thread!

When I open My .xmls, I don't see a string 08 00 00 1c. I DO see strings 08 00 00 10 preceded by FF FF FF FF.

I'm trying to change my text from Black to White. Are the 08 00 00 10 strings the ones's I am looking for?

And am I coorect in assuming I only wanna change the FIRST THREE STRINGS regardless of how many are in each seperate Status bar .xml's ?

I've changed mine as follows which have resulted in boot-looping

FF FF FF FF 08 00 00 10 ( followed by 01 00 00 00 )
TO:
FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF ( followed by 01 00 00 00 - NOT CHANGED )

Thanx for the help

well.. I can't get it to work with these new ROM's that have the -v4 on them BUT. I can at least get you setup better than where you are...lol

All you need to have is colorchangev3.jar and 7zip.

Make a folder on your DESKTOP called framework. grab the frame and the services, jar files from the ROM (or theme) you are thrying to change and put them in there. Now use 7zip to "add to archive" and make a framework.zip folder.

I should mention.. colorchangev3.jar should be on your C:\ drive and not in any folders

OK, once you made your zip file.. just open up colorchange by typing java -jar colorChangev3.jar from command prompt. make sure you cd .. until you are at c: 1st.

then just type your command.. java -Xmx512m whatever it is.. For example.. for me instead of themexyz, I do c:\users\jason\desktop\framework.zip clock=FFBC1010 gofull
