Wifi tether is now available with a custom kernel. Wether you pay the extra money or not is now up to you.. of course I suggest you pay them. :icon_ banana:

will somebody please tell me how to tether my droid to my MacBook? im unemployed, looking for work, it wud be nice to sit at starbucks and fill out applications send resumes, etc, using my verizon phone as my 'wifi' connector... i cant afford all these wifi hot spots while i pay good money for the same thing on my cell phone... please help me!!!

I just tried PDANet on my Droid in conjunction with my laptop (Vista 32-bit) and it works flawlessly.
