Telephone Calls on Droid X

Has anyone else experienced low ring tones when your phone rings? No matter how high I turn the ringer volume up, it seems to ring low and I can barely hear it!!!! It also vibrates when it rings and I'm trying to figure out how to stop it from vibrating.

Stupid question but are you covering the back speaker while it rings?
