Switching 4G Devices

Hello,

I've been searching around but I can't find an answer so I just want to make sure I'm right. I'm swapping devices tomorrow and both are 4G I just need to turn the old one off and take the sim card out and put in the new one to have it activate, right?
Thanks

So if I get a phone from a third party that's 4g I can change phones without having to go thru Verizon to activate it?

Correct. When my wife switched to the Razr Maxx, I switched to her Rezound. I took the SIM from my Thunderbolt and plugged it into her old Rezound (after doing a factory reset on it), and the phone immediately activated. I entered in my Gmail information, and all my market apps switched over.
