storing pics and vids internally?

I'm thinking of moving my pics and vids back to internal storage instead of having them save on my SD card (My card is filling up).
I still want to be able to pull media from the phone and save in my PC. I understand I will have to access a different drive to do this but want to make sure this is the only thing that changes. The format remains the same, yes? I can still access the pics and vids and save them? I can still forward them via text messaging and emails?
Just want to make sure.
