I am thinking about purchasing the Droid X extended battery and I'm thinking of keeping the stock battery in the car. I'm just worried because cell phone batteries aren't the safest. The hottest it'll get here is about 100 degrees (110 inside the car) and the coolest 12 degrees (around 0 inside the car). Are these temperatures too extreme for the battery or is it okay to keep in the car?

Thank you,
Kenneth

EDIT- Darn I meant to put this in the accessories forum.

It will drain very quickly in those types of temperatures. Would make having it in the pointless if it is dead.

According to a quick google search, a lithium ion battery is OK within that temperature range. You should store it at approximate 40% full--that part I'm remembering, so you might want to do a search.
