Stock texting app jumping to wrong person?

Anybody using the stock messaging app experienced that when you touch on one person to see their messages, the phone goes to a completely different person? I have had it do it to me several times in a row.

I have to be very careful to be sure I'm on the right person before I start typing. Bad things can happen when you are on the wrong person saying the wrong thing!:icon_eek:

.. same here.. and...

Loses my txt history.. just goes poof gone.. no trace.. any others.. what could cause this... and also.. how the HELL are you suppose to send a video MMSG when its .3gp format and the size it over the allotted.. all I want to do is send a 30sec clip.. odd..

I've had that problem one time, and I think it was caused by build up of static electricity. Your screen detects the miliamps of electricity from your finger tip....that's how the touch screen works. If you have a lot of built up static your screen can't pinpoint where you are touching. Thus it will pick the wrong person.

It has happened to me a lot recently as well as on my sisters thunderbolt. I will be replying to a text that I received from a person, hit send, there is a long pause and then it kicks me to a different conversation thread. Has been a disaster to say the least. I have stopped texting almost completely.

I have this happen a lot. It doesn't help to double check your addressee as it will change when you hit send. One way to work around that I found is to NOT use reply. If you start a message with compose it seems to bypass this nasty bug.
