Phone too tall to reach the status bar with one hand and your thumb? Well I found a nice little solution that works like a charm. The nice thing about the status bar is to close it you can swipe from the bottom up. The only problem is in order to open it you have to swipe from the top down. That's an unfortunate circumstance since we typically hold our phones by the bottom end and these things are getting so long that our fingers can't reach the top of the phone anymore.

Well we have a save the day application from developer wangqi060934 called Drop Down Status Bar. This is a nice little short cut which uses virtually no resources, requires no special permissions, and sits on the screen wherever you want to place it. The most convenient spot to place it would be bottom right hand corner, as it would be easiest to reach by the thumb. All you have to do is tap it and your status bar opens in full view. To close your status bar to swipe up from the bottom with your thumb as you normally do and you're back to your screen. Short and simple, effective and efficient. Drop Down Status Bar. Get it in the Google Play store!
