Sound on keypress option trouble

I normally keep sound on keypress on for when I type but for some reason with my bionic when I have it on it doesn't make any sound other than this quiet noise you can barely hear unless you put your ear to the speaker... anybody else having this issue?

Yep my bionic is the same way. Most of the time I can't even hear the key board sound. Might be a software issue.
My D1 was 10x louder than this phone.

Perhaps you need to go into : settings/ keyboard/ multitouch settings and turn on sound on touch... then adjust. Your volume with the rocker once your in typing mode... hope this helps.
