Soooo indecisive!

My wife drills me on this all the time but I am incredibly indecisive when it comes to spending money and get incredible buyers remorse! (no pun intended) Anyway, I have a few days until my 30 days is up and while i love my Droid i hate the qwerty keyboard and how laggy it can by when going into landscape and back. So I'm seriously considering going in tomorrow, dropping $35 on the restocking fee and snatching up the new incredible. A girl at work has it and i played with it today and was... well kind of blown away. I didn't think i was going to be and was very skeptical as I really loved the Droid...

anyway, i read the threads on here and was wondering if there was anymore epiphanies or revelations from switchers coming from the same phone as me.

thanks :)

also,my major gripe with the droid is for some reason when i try to forward an email with an attachment it only sends the text... maybe thats just me and i have to change some setting or something... does the incredible send the attachment? I'm posting this kind of late so any replies asap would be awesome :)

Thanks again!

I paid retail and i don't regret it. IMO the DI is better hands down. And if I'm not mistaken you get one exchange during the 30 day grace period without the restocking fee.

I agree, I paid 592.00 tax and all..... and I love it and would do it again tomorrow if needed.

There is no other phone even close imo.... it just rocks

I added a 3rd line on my family plan for $10 extra a month and got the DI for the upgrade price with rebate. I don't use the extra line. I've had the DI since it came out. So far I don't like the battery life. half day battery life with heavy use. Ex: internet, text, email and down loading some apps. there is stand by use about 30% and 25% system use. I have a lot better battery life a day and a 1/4 with Droid CM 5.0.6. @900mhz. my wife sent me a video and after several tries it would not DL. the Droid has a sharper screen image but the DI is brighter.

Overall, I really like the UI on the DI, it's lighter and fits in my pocket easier. it does seem snappier and smooth. The camera and video are a lot better. If I could get the same UI on Droid I would have stayed with it. As of now I think I'm going to give the DI to my wife and go back to the Droid.

I noticed less bars also. I compared to Droid side by side and the Droid had at least one more bar then DI.

The bars mean nothing... go into the settings and look at the signal, you will see they are in fact the same signals. just the display is different by one bar which means nothing if they have the same signal strength.

this would be sweet but i talked to someone at big V over the phone and they said i would have to pay the restocking fee as did an in store associate. This was after i checked the 30-day policy and it said the same :(

does this phone have gorilla glass?

it doesn't come with a sd card correct?

1). Battery life is definitely worse. For someone spending retail on the DInc, spending another $40 on a Seidio extended battery shouldn't be a problem. ;)

2). Again, the bars are not accurate and that is a known issue. The actual signal strength is the same as the MDroid. Signal strength is determined by the carrier, not the phone maker.

This is THE best stock Verizon phone on the market. Period. I would recommend it for anyone.

1). Not gorilla glass, but definitely glass. According to HTC, it is scratch resistant. Of course, they also claim it is finger print resistant, which is ridiculous. This Inc is a finger print magnet. ;)

2). Pre-orders came with a 2 gig card, otherwise, no. I simply took the 16 gig sd card from my MotoDroid and put it into my Dinc. Voila.

yeh well I'm returning my moto droid under the 30 day grace period so I imagine they will want that one back :P How hard is it to transfer the things you put on internal memory to a card after the fact?

Also ive seen several sites saying that both phones have been tested and the moto does in fact have better reception. This doesn't bother me too much as i live in an area with good reception but the missed calls some of the ppl are reporting in the tech forum is worrisome.

1). What is on your internal memory that needs to be transferred. My contacts and apps were all integrated/stored on Google, so the transfer was easy for me. Just had to connect to Google with the new phone and redownload my non paid apps.

2). Everyone I have spoken to says I sound better on the DI. Also, I don't by the reception issue one bit. Reception is the same. Amusingly, there is a Droid war starting up across the Android community. Therefore, a lot of rumors and mintruths are being spread.

i meant if i ordered my sd card online but used my phone regularly until it arrived how hard would it be to take things off of the phones memory to the card in the phone. i already too the pictures and things off the card and stored them on my computer

Have a Nexus One (for software development) and a Droid as my phone.

I love the slide out keyboard on my Droid. It's a huge selling point for me. My Droid isn't slow, but the N1 (which is basically an Incredible) is quite a bit quicker.

If I didn't want the keyboard, I'd have an Incredible, even tough I like the Droid's display better. Would recommend you get one.

I hope there isnt a Droid war going on. We need to be united to go to war against the iPhone. :icon_ banana:

United we stand, divided we fall....

well it didnt matter anyway as V gave me a 2gb card with my phone. I was under the impression that they didnt. Anyway, I got it and I couldnt be happier. It was hard to do all the way until the end. Kind of wish i didn't pay for a zagg shield for only 25 days use lol.
