Sony has just filed a mysterious lawsuit against LGE. The lawsuit doesn't specifically name any infringement, but seems to be related to photo caller ID. No details have been revealed yet.

I believe, this is sad how every single smartphone related company is being sued or suing someone. I personally think lawsuits are just people saying “hey look at me.”

What are your thoughts on this new lawsuit?

Update
According to Zacks.com, "Sony alleges that LG's mobile phones are in violation of seven Sony patents, including image capture, audio recording, band-width allocation, network management and caller ID photo use, reports SiFyNews.com."

I guess any company protecting their investments and patents is just "wrong" to some people...... C'mon.....

No, they aren't wrong for that but this claim especially is the most vague of all claims I have read.... and then they claim photo id as their property... WOW.
I also like how this all waited till they were just about to launch a new phone before all of a sudden their patent lawyers found something.

There is nothing wrong with them holding onto their patents and then suing at the opportune moment to screw the company that they are A) competing against and B) that stole their intellectual property.

That's just good business....
