My son tried to "flash" my Droid X now when I turn it on it says Bootloader 30.4 Err:A5,70,70,00,1F MEM_MAP blank Service Reg'd Battery OK OK to Program connect USB. As yall can tell I'm a newbe. Any help would be wonderful.

Search the forum for the exact firmware your phone had, before the flash attempt, then D/L a copy of RSDLite and flash it back to factory if possible.
The last, 'official' update took place unexpectedly for most, but you will need to locate this version of firmware if you took the last, latest update from Verizon, which is:
4.5.1_57_DX8-51, Android version 2.3.4, Kernel version: 2.6.32.9-g1282440 mcbk83@il93lnxdroid08 #1.
Baseband version: BP_C-01.09.15P.
