okay so itsbeen abut 2 or 2.5 hours since i took my phon off the charger(it was fully charged) not its at 50%. wtf. its the extended battery. wi-fi is off. anythng else to turn off to save nore power?

Are you using social networking apps, email, weather, etc?

How often do you have them set to sync?

Do you have wifi set to notify you of wireless networks?

Are you running a task killer?

have task killer dont know if its runninig. not sure abo9ut t he syncing thing. weather is on one of the homepages. wifi is turned totally off as far as i know.

Go to settings, data management, motorolla applications and set it to sync only when connected to wifi.

Sign out of the facebook app and twitter app, then get the tweet deck app (its in beta, and not in the market, you have to get it from the tweet deck website) and use that for twitter and facebook.

Doing both those things made a huge battery in my battery life. Im at 12 hours use and 50% battery (extended battery).

Definitely get rid of the task killer. That will kill your battery as well.

Get rid of the task killer, you can always add it back if you feel you need it.

As to the syncing, go into the weather app, email, and any social networking apps and check to see how often you have them syncing.

Do you see 1x at the top or 3g? If you see 1x most of the time that will kill your battery too.

If you didn't download it, you don't have it, unless one of the knowledgeable techs at the Verizon store put it on for you.

k i changed t to synconly when connected to wifi. havent used facebook app yet cuz i got in troube and am not aloud on facebook(mymom changed my password)

i will delete task lkiller i didnt know what it w as and thought it soundedimportant so i downloaded it lol.

now when u click on then battery in ur battery settings it tells you what %age each thing is using. everythingis pretty low exepy display is at 60 or 63%. i habe it on auto brightness and my wallapaper is the galaxy thing that comes on the phone(the stars swirling aorund slowly)

Display is always the biggest battery hog. Live wallpapers use more battery than static ones, but the ones that come on the droid 2 arent a big deal.

True, but that aquarium one is a monster. It looks very nice, it's my favorite, but it eats battery like skittles.

How many times have you discharged the battery completey then let it recharge completely? Do that a lot for a week or 2 and your battery life will be fine.

Thats a myth, ya dont have to drain the battery complety nor train it. Battery charge gets better after a week or two of any kind of use.

Figured id post as I walk out to the bus stop...the aquarium wallpaper is awsome but it does drain power I stuck withh the galaxy one now my display is down to less than 50% when it was over 60 so that's good. Used the internet and a few text messages already today and still at 100% lol
