I dropped my Motorola Droid 1 in the toilet. I took the battery out and put it in rice. The phone works perfectly fine, I can receive calls and texts and the display works great. The red led light is constantly on. It isn't blinking but constantly on and it's draining my battery. Any thoughts?

I already did a factory reset and it did nothing.

It's been apart for a month now. I did the rice trick and it took the water out of my phone. The battery has been out of it for a while now.

That isn't good. No other ideas, here. Sorry.

Do other led colors work? As a test I would do this, set up something to use a blue notification led. If when the blue led turns on and the red one turns off, id suspect its a setting and software related (maybe some kind of warning light?) If the led turns purple (suggesting that the red light stays on and does not shut off for blue) id suspect a hardware malfunction, in which case it might be like that from water damage and probably not much you can do.
