Sms problem ??

I wanted to try out my stock sms app on my tb so I sent a text to my boyfriend and my number didn't come out , a bunch of numbers came out instead ?? I'm not sure what the problem is but my number ain't coming out on his phone? I tried calling him but my number does come out ...any ideas why when I text him a bunch of random numbers shows from who sent it to him

Same thing happened to me, I had to pull the battery and reseat the sim card.
