Hi, I searched the site and I've seen this question, but never an answer.
hope I'm in the right spot.

I hope there's a solution.

Is there a way to get an audible alert and no pop-up text preview when receiving a text message on a droid incredible?

Is is really all or nothing?

also, why is this feature considered an advantage over less expensive, and obviously, more private phones?
