Smashed Droid----can photos be retrieved?

i am a droid novice....and today my droid was smashed. really smashed. i am gutted. i had many photos and video of our daughter learning to walk and, and, and, ..... is there anyway the photos and video can be saved. not even sure where to start looking...so i am here. thanks for any help.

Well I'm assuming that you can't turn it on, so check out the SD card. Borrow a reader from a friend and hope it works.

thanks for the reply. after i posted, i learned droid anatomy and found the sd card. though my droid was ran over by a truck....the sd card remained intact. AND ALL MY PHOTOS AND DATA ARE FINE!!! so relieved.

Nice thing about microsd cards, they are so small they can usually escaped damage, even if you blow the phone up. Of course, if you do that you might have trouble finding the card, but once you do, it should be just fine
