Slide Market???

What is this Slide Market? I just saw something about it when I google it, I cannot really find any info on it other than the web site. I searched the forums and couldnt really find anything either. What is it and is there a benefit over the Android Market?

Also, when you DL apps from Slide Market, does it notify you when there are updates for the apps?

It is a secondary market, allowing devs to charge for apps that they can't do through the standard market (generally because Google hasn't authorized it in their country yet).
