Skype Question...I am CONFUSED!

Hey,

I tried finding the answer to this on the support section of the skype website but wasn't able to ascertain a solid answer. My question is this....

Can I get a skype phone number either from the US or Canada, be in Canada using WiFi or 3G on my cell phone and either call someone from that particular number or receive calls to my Droid X on that particular number. For example, if I bought a number 514-555-5551, could I call someone from my cell phone, have that number show up on their caller ID as well as receive a call to my cell phone when someone dials my number of 514-555-5551. I hope I didn't make that too confusing.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Don't count on skype for caller id.. doesn't work in my experience
donno about service restrictions in canada, but in us it's restricted and only does certain things on wifi or 3g.

If you are willing to play around, you can try both skype official and skype mobile for verizon, which behave differently..

IMO it's bloated crapware and I only run it on my phone because skype suckered my co-workers into using it.
