Shouldnt have verizin 4g but I do

I live in richmond va and today my signal went out on my thunderbolt and when it came back on it said 4glte and I know 4g isnt supposed to be available here can anyone explain? Also I did a speed test and it was 25mbps so it was 4g for sure

Well they may be instituting the 4g network in your area now. They have been slowly adding more and more cities without even mentioning it.

When I was looking at for a new phone I had mentioned to the sales person where I live that I really would like to get the Thunderbolt, but 4G wasn't listed as being available in our area. Turns out I was wrong. He said it had been on in our area about 2 weeks, that the Verizon 4G coverage map was sometimes 30-90 days behind. I was pleasantly surprised.
