Sharp's new phone gives new meaning to Android

Putting this in Off Topic, because I didn't do any research as to whether this device runs the Android OS, but I had to share this.

I have to say, I'd love to have one of these, but think I'd only use it for some sort of home phone. I can't see carrying this around all day everyday like I do a regular phone, but I think it'd be a fun device to have around

Meh...I can see this for a cute little thing around the office...or home..or as a gift..but it looks fragile(of course) and i agree its not something I'd want to carry around all day.

They didn't show what happened 2 mins after the baby grabbed it lol

Lmao! I'll have robophone protective services remove my parental (robotal) rights or I'll have to put it up for adoption, lol!

Tis..I expected better of you...LOL..thought mine would be the wacked one lol

I watched again..and the voice...ugh...get Peter cullen to do the voice over LOL..actually the voice interface in a different voice please...and the protector feature..would make me buy a phone with those options...the part they're leaving out is the "OK Google now" type catch phrase..or they've found another way for it to monitor and not burn through all of its battery...

I can see this falling ...A LOT. If it stands up on tables and walks to be cute ...well...I can imagine some spill will happen.

Yeah, the projector makes up for the tiny screen. I'd assume it's got a decent sized battery, but you have to wonder how long it can last with the robot part moving around & etc.

I'm not sure what to make of this: pretty awesome & useful? or just another trendy gadget that will not last long? I can see it going either way. I do agree that the voice would become irritating after a while. The little guy dances better than I do though.

I can see why this was advertised for the Japanese as they're into their cute robotics. It wouldn't be anymore than a novelty here in the US.
