Selecting text

Is there a better way to select txt or a different app that I can use? I cannot seem to get my phone to let me select all of the txt that is on the screen. Anyone have any suggestions? I know it sounds stupid but man its bugging me!

Select all works fine for me. I first tap the text screen once, this places the cursor move tool onto the screen (you can also simply press and hold the first time). Then I press and hold, and the menu pops up, with choices for Select word, Select all, Paste, Input method, and Add "[selected word or word at finger press]" to dictionary. If I choose "Select all", the entire screen's text is highlighted blue. Alternatively, you can choose Select word. Either way also gives you the option to change the start and end points of the selected text with the triangulated cursor tools. Then, tap (or press and hold again) gives me the option to Cut, Copy or Paste. An alternative method to select just a word, is to double-tap the word.

I might mention I am using Swype for input, if that matters.

If this is not working for you, perhaps a restart may help. Otherwise, a factory reset, and if that doesn't fix it, replace.
