Seidio Extended Battery...

I have been researching on whether to get this or not. Some people are saying that it is awesome and you can do whatever you possibly want to all day long... But, then there are people saying it doesn't work anymore after 2-3 months. Anyone have any insight on this??

I have had my Seidio 2800 since March and it was the best accessory purchase I made for my Original Droid -

Yeah, no question about that at all - I am a heavy user all throughout the day and my phone is still good to go way into the night - I still charge every night and I am not sure if you are aware that the Droid does not read these extended battery's correctly, so when the meter says it is at 5% it is actually around 65/70% and will hang there for hours and hours - I rely on MV readings courtesy of Battery Left (available in the Market) and have replaced my battery icons with some transformer icons seen here

You can read up on it a bit more if you still need more clarification -

this thread is for the 2600Mah but it is the exact same concept ---> http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-accessories/9569-seidio-2600mah-extended-battery.html

I almost got an extended battery but opted for another OEM battery on Amazon.com for $6. Then I got tired of changing out batteries and got an extra charger for work. Problem solved.

My 3500mah seems to be holding up just fine. I didn't do any special first charge, and it lasts all day without issue.

Ok sweet, I just ordered it and it will be here on Saturday. I can't wait! I'm so sick of having to be cautious on what I use and how much I use! Thanks for the help!

I just got this battery, and I only to use it on days that I know I will have no access to a charger. I would like to charge the battery to 100% and then keep it in a drawer for when I need it. Do I need to worry about battery discharging while not in use?

I also have the 3500 in my Dinc, and *love* it. It solved all of my battery related/need to recharge issues. But that's the HTC Incredible. My Droid 1 is a whole different story.I have tried and TRIED over the past six moths, to get the Seidio 2800 battery for the D1 to play nice and be a useful addition. It continues to be a PITA and after "trying again", I usually end up going back to the regular battery after a few days.

Meantime, my Dinc is becoming my main, go to phone. Gorgeous AMOLED screen, lightning fast, and with the Seidio 3500 battery, astounding battery life.
