Sd keep saying its full when I still have plenty of space.

My sd keep saying its full when I still have plenty of space. I don't have any roms but I am rooted. Any ideas why it is doing it?

When I see people come in saying that 'their phone says it is low on memory but they have plenty', it USUALLY ends up that they are confusing internal storage with SD card storage. Are you sure that your phone is telling you that your SD CARD is low on storage? When you go to the SD Card & Storage page in your settings, both are displayed, so make sure to scope out what it says you have for Internal storage, since 90% of the time the internal storage is the only one that ever really causes problems.

A quick fix for this is to make sure that you have moved any apps that can be moved to the SD card. Get a cache cleaner, delete text messages you don't need, uninstall apps you don't need, etc. Anyways, my main concern is whether it is actually your SD card or your internal. It always helps to clear up any of this confusion by typing the error message verbatim.

Okay, let me double check. I know the issue is stopping me from downloading apps and music.

I think your download cache is full. I run into this problem. It is easy to fix. Here are 2 solutions:

1. Power down completely, then power back up.
2. Install an app the will clean cache, I use "1-Tap cleaner".

I'm having a similiar issue: when trying to download a picture I received VIA text message my phone gave the error of "SD storage full. Please delete files and try again" I understand that I need to remove files but is there a way that I can see what specifically is on my SD and what is stored on the phone itself? Been looking for this all day!!!
