I couldn't find a screen recording app in the market, but is there one out there that I'm not aware of? Is it even allowed?

Could you clarify what you mean by "screen recorder"?

Are you you trying to capture and record video of what you see on your Droid's screen as you're using it? If so, that WOULD be a cool thing to be able to do, but I've never heard of an app available that could do this.
