So I left my Droid 2 charging overnight, was working perfectly, using the wall charger.

Came back next morning, screen is completely unresponsive. All hard buttons appear to function normally, but when I boot I get to the "Welcome to Android" screen and tapping the Android does nothing, as well as Emergency Call and Change language. I am able to change the language via hard buttons, but tapping emergency call returns "com.android.phone" has stopped unexpectedly.

So how do I fix this?

Wow... that's a good one. I would take it back to the store. From what you said in the post, you just got the phone? They should exchange it.

I've actually went to the store and they gave me an upgrade for a very cheap price considering it's still under warranty and they didn't have the Droid 2 in stock. So now I have both, so I could technically just "move on" but I'd like to be able to use to phone for other purposes.
