Screen goes off

If I call someone and have to enter an extension, how do I gt the screen back on? Samsun Vibrant SGH T959

screen goes off after contect

I use the Blue Tooth Ear piece w/phone in amplified antenna system. I call a client, phone has already gone blank...no way to restore w/out hanging up..can't restore screen w/out restart.
