Scratches on my Screen

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Gorilla Glass supposed to protect my phone from scratches?
Because at the moment after taking off my Otterbox I realize that I have 2 scratches on my screen

Is this something that would be covered under warranty within the 14 days of purchasing and I can return for another

I bought an OTTER BOX case for it online. I have received it a week later but I didn't notice the scratches prior to using the case.
I thought it was scratch Proof, My Bad
