The current series of high end flagship devices all run the latest 10nm process, but midrangers are still running the less powerful 14nm process chips. Samsung is looking to bring a higher performing chip to the market with their new 11nm LPP process chips. These chips will deliver a 15% boost. There is essentially no efficiency boost with these chips this is strictly a performance change. It will also reduce the surface area of the chip by 10% when compared to the older 14nm LPP process. This new tech will begin production in the first half of 2018. Samsung also announced that the development of the new 7nm process is still on schedule and has not faced any delays. It looks like we are going to have some more powerful budget devices soon!
