Samsung SM-G900F Might Not be the Galaxy S5 After-all

It's another day and another round of Galaxy S5 rumors. This one is actually an "anti-SGS5" rumor. Previously we shared intel suggesting that one of the Galaxy S5 variants coming next year would be the SM-G900F. Some new and more detailed specs for the device have come forward which imply it might not be the SGS5, or at least, if it is, then the SGS5 might not have some of the previously rumored specs.

Here's a breakdown of the specs which were recently leaked in a benchmark for the SM-G900F:

• 1080p (1920 x 1080) display
• 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974AC)
• Adreno 420 GPU
• 3GB of RAM
• 32GB of internal storage
• 16MP rear camera
• 2MP front shooter
• Android 4.4 KitKat

As you can see, the specs are mostly cutting edge, with the exception of the display resolution (relative to next year's tech). One of the things that makes us doubt this is the SGS5 is that a previous leak of specs for the SM-G900S indicated a 2K (2560 x 1440) display. Additionally, the SM-G900A which we reported on just yesterday also will likely come with a 2K display.

Of course, we can't automatically assume this is not some variant of the SGS5, since the model name is one letter different. The other specs, including the GPU are top-notch. Perhaps this is the Galaxy S5 Mini or maybe the next Galaxy S5 Active. We will watch this and give you guys any updates as soon as we spot them.
