Got my Nexxus today. I was a little disappointed when I looked at the phone. There are several nice things on the Samsung Charge that this phone doesn't have :frown:
Overall the look of the screens and button locations are nicer on the Charge. Font, size, graphic design. Especially the app screen. The Charge had nice big icon boxes. It looked cool.
On the Nexxus there are lots of mini apps on one screen and so they are smaller. The icons are not as attractively designed and they aren't in uniform square boxes :frown::frown::frown: Not as cool
I have trouble finding the apps screen and the settings key is not on the front like Charge ... you have to click two menu items to get into it. This phone is not that intuitive.
On the calendar and anywhere you input information the Charge's input screens looked better... you typed in boxes. The nexxus has a line you are filling out, not a box.
No cradle dock yet for the Nexxus, and when they do get one it won't come with a free spare battery like Charge's did and it will sit on it vertically instead of horizontally because the charger opening is on the bottom instead of the side.
Since it is a google phone it can't use any Verizon apps like My Verizon, Verizon videos or VZ Navigator
If I had known all this I would have kept the Charge I returned end of October in anticipation of waiting for a supposedly better phone.
But after waiting for it for a month and a half I couldn't buy another Charge, seemed stupid.
At least my verizon store is having a class soon dedicated just to the Nexxus. All other phones were generic droid classes.
The camera is great so far (quality wise), but can I press a button on the actual phone? I don't like clicking the screen, I shake that way.
This phone is going to need some getting used to.
This is what I noticed so far, will give more updates as I find them.
