I know. Samsung needs to get their act together. But if one is comfortable with rooting its not that hard. An official upgrade would be nice so we could get some overclock kernels. My d1 with froyo was junk before I rooted it and it was on the latest software at the time.

We don't need an official upgrade. 2.2 and source for the mesmerize dropped yesterday. Its exactly the same hardware. I'm sure the devs are working on it as we speak.

Yea I have the EC10 Voodoo Kernel running that was based on the mesmerize. I wonder if they will be able to overclock at all since mesmerize and fascinate are virtually the same.

No you don't understand. Its the same phone with a different name. Source code is EXACTLY what they needed to build true custom kernels.

Awesome That's what I thought. I wasn't sure if they were exactly the same. Just a matter of time now.
