Samsung Galaxy S Weak signal after Froyo custom Rom upgrade.

Hi, I just rooted and upgraded my Samsung Galaxy S.
I installed the Bionix Obsidian V2 ROM which is awesome and seems to work great, however, I have noticed a significant drop in my network signal. In my office for example I have never lost or dropped a call when I was on 2.1 (or with any other phone or sim for that matter )

but now unless I move directly to the window I lose reception completely.
Not sure what the problem could be. I was wondering if it could be because I am in the UAE and this is a US based rom? Not sure if they knock signal strength down or something in the States.

Is there some way I can boost my signal?

Also, this may be related. since the upgrade whenever I plug in the USB the phone reboots itself and just keeps flashing an image of the battery. Happens every time.

any help would be awesome.

I think you might be in the wrong forum. We don't have any Froyo ROMs for the Fascinate yet.

Correct. He loaded a US Captivate Rom on his phone from the UAE and plobably hosed his modem. He will have to install a new modem.bin with one compliant with his model phone.
