Samsung Galaxy Fascinate synch with Outlook

I've searched here & elsewhere enough to know that Kies, as a rule, doesn't work with every Samsung phone. I've tried and it doesn't seem to recognize my phone, WiFi or cable. If anyone can contradict this, I'm listening. Otherwise, what are my options? Naturally, I'd like something free or cheap but might be willing to go with a little more pricy product if it worked well. I'd like it to synch with Outlook contacts and calendar, primarily. So what are all you Fascinating people doing in the regard?

If your account is gmail, then there's no problem sync contacts, calendar and emails, because I am doing that.
