Verizon's Samsung Fascinate hasn’t been released yet, but the system dump has been available for about 2 days now, mostly untouched and unexplored.

Until today that is, when Justin Case (who you may remember from blowing the cover off Google’s Licensing Verification Library) and Jamezelle took it apart and ripped out the 6 live wallpapers exclusive to the device.

...So how do I install these? Just installing the .apk files force closes the preview of them each time

You have to flash the file through a custom recovery. These aren't made to just be installed as a separate app, as it would require some more work to make it work that way. The easiest way for them to do this was to just make it the way they did.

That's retarded, what's the point then?? Not everyone has root you know...

The point is that rooted users can use these and the rest of the development community can try to repackage the APKs into standalone versions. What's the point of not posting this?

Have both sets of the Samsung wallpapers installed and working on my D1. I was a tad disappointed the dandelion one doesn't "fit". There is a black box at the very bottom of the screen in portrait and the far right of the screen in landscape I find annoying. :(
