S5 Gallery Suddenly will NOT play MP4 Videos?

I have had my S5 happily now for a couple years. I use the Gallery daily to view photos and videos. Videos are all in .mp4 format. Suddenly as of yesterday, I cannot play any videos... downloaded and filmed from the phone? I can see a thumbnail of the video but when I click "play" I get a black screen with white lettering that simply says "Can't Play Video"

I am not sure what changed overnight or why this happened so I am hoping someone out there can help me out. I have attached a screenshot... Thank you in advance for any help!

Same here. I now use the MX Player app to watch and upload the MP4 videos made with my Samsung S5.
