S3 Owners (coming from Maxx)

Any S3 owners here who came from the RAZR Maxx? I would really appreciate your thoughts between the 2.

I was initially holding out for the HD Maxx, but after playing with the S3 and looking at all the special features (not regular features) I've been amazed. Some of these features are revolutionary and simply awesome.

The battery and build on the HD will be superior, but I doubt the HD will have any similar features as the s3. Im also leery of the HD camera. One of my struggles has always been the moto cameras.

I appreciate the feedback.

So I assume you like it better overall. How much difference is battery use for you?

Not sure about the maxx battery. But i am getting about 24-25 hours out of my S3.

Thats with listening to music most of the day. Playing some games and moderate surfing the net. Think my screen is set to a little over half way on brightness.

But for any smartphone i think thats great. Camera is 2nd to none imo. I came from a moto and agree about the camera. S3 has way cool camera features too. (altho they could be standard now idk. came from an X2 )

That was my next question, the camera.....how does the burst shot work? Are the pics clear?

I have only used it twice so far. And they were clear for me. Altho i just took it of a fan moving to try it out. All 20 were clear tho.

I do like it better overall . I'm a heavy user. I don't know how people get all the battery life that they do from their S3's. Most days I am lucky to get 10 to 12 hours. I bought an extended battery for mine. With that I can usually make it last all day.

Well I can't use mine at school but here's my battery life after sitting through school all day with hardly and signal. Huge battery improvement from my incredible. It last me all day usually no matter what I do.

10-12 from the stock battery. The extended battery gives me 16+ hours. I'm on this phone all day though. Usually have I heart radio playing about 6 hours. Internet usage is close to 6 also. Plus games and news apps. Oh yeah, I'm on this app too. All my settings are for Max performance. Brightest display, GPS on, auto sync on and a live wallpaper.

So I gave in and got it.....1st hour of use and I'm impressed.....WOW!!!! I feel bad because I've been a moto loyalist for years....this phones sw features are AMAZING!!!


What brand is extended battery? You go to eBay?
