Here's a pretty hot bit of intel on what is likely the Korean version of the Samsung Galaxy S IV. Supposedly, some benchmarks appeared on the web of the new device, and they are nothing short of spectacular. A phone with the model number (SHV-E300S) appeared in the GLBenchmark’s database boasting a quad-core CPU and some record breaking scores. All of our previous intel suggests this model number is indeed the Korean version of the SGS4.

There are a couple of surprising things about this leak. First, the phone comes with a 1.9 GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU quad-core chip (with Adreno 320 GPU ) instead of the rumored Octa-Core Exynos 5. Second, despite that difference, the scores of this chip are phenomenal by themselves, easily besting everything else on the market. There is one caveat. Only two tests were shown: the offscreen high-level 3D performance which showed a score of 41.3 fps, and the onscreen speed with 39.4 fps. To put that in perspective, the current top dog in performance, the HTC Droid DNA/Buttefly, had a score of 29.7 and 28.1 fps respectively. Regardless of the performance, it is a little odd that the SGS4 would come out sporting something other than a Samsung chip, but perhaps Sammy is saving the Octa-Core Exynos 5 for the GNote3.

Despite the possibility the phone will not have the next-gen chip from Samsung, it will still rock some amazing performance and probably take the speed-crown back from the rest of the crowd. As far as other details on the device are concerned, the benchmark didn't specify the size of the display, but it did confirm a 1,920 x 1,080 Full HD. Other rumint suggests this phone will first be coming to SK Telecom Korea with LTE. As always, we will keep an eye on this to see if anything can be confirmed our denied.
