Just a temporary starter thread for now; heading to work. Sorry for the lack of a thread, I've been swamped with school work.

Change Log:

  • Adjusted tweaks to fix the battery situation
  • Reverted back to my old 1.8.4 as a base (which was an internal build)
  • Couple more security features
  • Zipalign on boot
  • Various code cleanup and clean up of my errors
As I had said, this would be a small release until after finals, mainly to address the battery situation. As it turns out, It wasn't the kernel tweaks that messed up the quadrant scores, so those are fixed too. No more random slowdowns, either.

Wipe Data/Cache for Both Versions!!!!!

2.3.15 only:

2.3.320/2.3.340 only:

Want your transitions back? Flash this:

NOTE:

THEY WILL BOTH read 2.3.15 for the market. Do not be alarmed if you're on the leak, I did not, and cannot revert you back to the ota.

Also, try not to ask a question without reading the thread first. Sephtin and Inkarnit take time out of their day to help answer questions for me because I simply cannot all times of the day, and I don't blame them if they get mad at someone for asking a question that was answered the page before. Questions will be answered as they are seen, if they are not, please PM me, as its the best way for me directly to answer a question dancedroid There is also a FAQ thread somewhere in my section.

PLEASE give the cache time to build up before declaring good/bad battery life. This takes around an hour or two after install.

I'm a college student full time, and a part time employee. I spend many sleepless nights on this. If you like my work, support my red bull addiction!

Dear drod, you are amazing. I wish I was rich so that I could give you money to support your amazing work. Sadly, I am poor for the next few years. I am paying off my undergrad which I just received last year (state school is cheap luckily) and I just got engaged (yay!) so I have to pay for a wedding/reception (boo).

Hopefully telling you that you are awesome will suffice.

Also, in regards to battery life... djdlite, did you have JRummy's OC script running by chance?

Im running 1.8.9 ...I want to rock this. Here is the question , with no screen ,shots with no install instructions, and so on.....where is the official guide ; to what seems to be a cool upgrade. All I see are vague links and some....here say comments. Have you ever booked a vacation online....well can I see the " room first". Can any one here help me out? Oh and by the way what is the deal with this changed bootloader leaked update ? What is if for? Help....alittlle insight, and or closure would help. Thanks in advnce.

Instructions are the same for this one man as the rest.... Wipe Data/Cache before install. Same as when you did 1.8.9 If you look in the 1.6 thread I am sure he has the instructions posted in there to help also. The bootloader is from TBH I am not quite sure about alot of the performance gains so I will leave it here and let someone with it installed tell you about pros/cons or just do a simple search lots of post already about it.... I just not into installing brand new leaks.
I cleared my cache only and installed without any issues.

Not liking the app drawer going sideways instead of vertical.

Mustang02... the app drawer going sideways is a setting within ADW. Press menu, choose ADW Settings, Drawer Settings, App Drawer Style, Vertical Plain.

Cool Thanks. I'm coming from LPP so ADW is a new beast for me.

Here is a question....I sbf'd last might to do a clean install of 1.9. After I got finishes going through set up and finally got to him screen my old wallpaper was on there. Shouldn't it have been the stock one?

Sent from my DROIDX using DroidForums App

This is a Froyo feature. Google backs it up for you. Nothing to see here :)

I see that you are running 1ghz ar lv does the oc work and how about a screen shot(by anyone who is running this)

I'm running stock clock speeds with a customized lowvolt.sh rather than the cpu.sh script from JRummy.... what do you want a screenshot of? If you go look at one of the [THEME] posts for 1.9.0 you'll see some themed versions. I'm just not sure what you are looking for. The ROM isn't really a theme itself...

wiped cache and installed over 1.8.9, running great, thanks drod2169

I never really noticed any battery issue with 1.8.9, so anything better than it was will be great

Glad to see an official thread for 1.9.0. Can we put a cork on the unofficial thread just to keep the conversation somewhat more contained?
