Rooting ??

I have been reading a lot about rooting and I think I want to root. I only want to root so that I can delete bloatware and use the free wireless tether. The only thing is I don't exactly know how to root. If someone could give me and easy way to root my incredible it would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

If you accepted the latest OTA, the directions may be a little different once unrevoked releases a new fix in the next day or two. We'll have updated instructions over on incredibleforums.com as well as a link here once the new version is released.
 
Ok thanks so much ... I actually tried unrevoked tonight and it didn't work ... now I know why ... I did the latest ota update ... hopefully they will have a fix soon ... I want to root ...

From what I understand it is being feverishly worked on so it shouldn't be long.

The current OTA cut off rooting exploits, so that would be why you had troubles last night.

Unrevoked should be ready with their solution VERY soon. Frustrating to have to wait, I know, but a little bit of patience in this situation will pay off immensely.
