Rooting droid incredible

If I root my DINC ... can I just leave the set up the way it is and just delete the stuff I don't want and get free WiFi tethering ? Thanks in advance.

Yes. For WiFi Tethering, make sure to download it at wireless_tether_2_0_5-pre14.apk - android-wifi-tether - Wireless Tether for Root Users 2.0.5-pre14 *** EXPERIMENTAL *** - Project Hosting on Google Code

The one on the Market doesn't seem to work.
