Rooting problem

Whenever I plug in my phone to my computer, the 'install wizard' says that the installation for my device failed. Therefore I can't root. I'm trying to use unrevoked. And when it says plug in my device and make sure usb debugging is enabled, (which it is and I plugged in my phone) it does nothing. Are these related problems? If they are, how can I fix it? Thanks a lot in advance.

You need to obtain and install proper drivers for your phone.

Would a factory reset help anything? Maybe it would help the installation problem. I have tried installing drivers that were on the same page as the unrevoked download. You saying all I need to do is install new drivers? Thanks

Yup that should be all you need. No you wont need to wipe at all(well shouldn't need to).
