Root Files

I just switched from CM7 to MIUI and wanted to enable Cron. I noticed quickly that MIUI's stock explorer does not have root explorer built in, so I downloaded my standard OI file manager. From there, the /data file was empty, so I tried Astro and ES to the same failure.

Do I need to do something special to allow myself to view/edit these files? I couldn't find anything on the forum...

Yes, you need Root Explorer. The others don't let you see root files!

Really? I've never had a problem before using OI or Astro.... They work fine on my LG Ally and my friend's Droid X
Also, the description for ES says it's a root explorer.
But I guess it doesn't matter, I gave up and used ADB

I believe AndExplorer also allows you to view root files, and it is free.
