Root 2.2.1 FRG83D on Mac

Hello, Im pretty green to all this. Not to tech savvy but diligent. Could someone point me in the direction of how I can get root access to enable wifi. I have a Mac and looking for the cheapest way available. Thanks for the help...I'm sure there will be more ?'s to come.
