Rookie G-mail question

New Member
I've been searching for several hours, so I will just give up and ask.

If I want to compose an email on my phone in either Gmail or Hotmail, is there a way to access the contact list so I don't have to know everyone's email addresses?

Thanks...and sorry my search-fu is so weak.

Open the Gmail App, press the menu button, press Compose - start typing contact name, it'll auto fill.

Alternatively you can go into contacts, select the contact you want to email to, press their email address then choose compose.

Wow...what a fast reply. Thanks.
The autofill works if that person is my phone contact list, but I have lots of people in my email lists that are not in my phone (yet). Is there a way to access those people's address, or am I just going to have to sit down and fill them all in on my phone???

Thanks again

Probably the easiest way to set up your contacts is through a PC. Just log into gmail, and any changes you make will sync up with the phone.
