yeah that's true for some reason I was thinking when it backuped it created a zip file in the clockwork backup folder. Good find on the rsdlite way.

But it's a incorrectly named thread... read through the thread :)

Here is the clockworkmod 2.5.0.1 recovery image that can be used with info in that thread link couple posts back: AbsoluteZero’s Droid Files Pic-E-Bank

On the web site click droid then click recovery and download http://pic-e-bank.com/android/Droid/Recovery/recovery-clockwork-2.5.0.1-sholes.img

Edit: Follow this: http://sdcardrecovery.org/how-to-flash-a-custom-recovery-on-android-the-droid-demos/ video and use this flash .img file download: http://pic-e-bank.com/android/Droid/Recovery/recovery-clockwork-2.5.0.1-sholes.img to flash clockworkmod recovery.

No Rom Manager needed to flash clockworkmod recovery. Rom Manager sucketh

(i am OP) I am trying to use CMR (was able to flash this AM) to restore ROM from previous phone. It keeps failing, see some msgs about unable to mount card or file not found.

If you have clockworkmod recovery flashed then boot into that and restore your back. Don't use Rom Mangler.
