[Matt didn't post this on DF.net, but I figured more would be interested. I use this ROM, and it's hands-down, the best ROM I've used on the D2.]

This ROM has had a name change from Unleashed 3.0 to Cobalt 1.0 because this is a new chapter for my ROM and I thought a new name should be put in place.

Thanks:

  • cvpcs for publicly posting his source.
  • slayher for his help over and over helping me compile a ROM straight from Google's source.
  • Speels and everyone else for their support when I started getting annoyed with this ROM.
Updates from alpha:

  • MANY new features
  • Audio is working from source, so you can use DSPManager now.
  • The phone will not reboot when you press the lock/unlock button.
  • Galaxy S like notification bar power settings.
For screen shots on some of the extra features: cobalt pictures by linkinpark4542 - Photobucket

Known issues:

  • GPS is not accurate
  • Auto-rotate
  • Haptic feedback (vibrate when touching soft-keys)
  • ALT-lock doesn't function (You can double click "ALT" to ALT-lock, though.)
  • Camcorder doesn't function (Camera does!)
  • Charge light doesn't function
Install instructions:

  • Download Cobalt
  • Download GApps
  • Download Keyboard Fix
  • Reboot into Clockwork
  • Clear Cache
  • Clear Data
  • Advanced, Clear Battery Stats
  • Advanced, Clear Dalvik Cache
  • Install Cobalt from SD Card
  • Mounts, Mount /system
  • Install GApps
  • Install Keyboard Fix from SD Card
  • Reboot (The first boot could take minutes. If it doesn't, try again.)

Thanks to my good friend Rob for hosting the ROM.

NOTE 1: This ROM's development will be halted in favor of something else. You will see soon enough.
NOTE 2: Ignore GEM Notifications in the Cobalt Extras. I forgot to remove and I didn't notice it until the ROM was already uploaded. [/B]

Pull down power control options look awesome, but I need GPS and some other features that are listed as not working.

Not that I am aware of. Im sure it could work on it though since they are so simliar, you just might need to change a few things around.

WOW, I am completely blown away. the options and customizations that are availible within the rom itself are amazing. If this rom and the liberty toolbox had a baby I would probably have a stroke. Amazing rom.

This looks awesome. Any chance of porting it over to the D2G?

I actually disagree. I can't stand a toolbox that is only functional by data (symlinks/Liberty). The Cobalt toolbox is kind-of hardwired into the ROM, so you can wipe via Recovery, and it'll still function. If you wipe via Recovery with Liberty, the toolbox will FC every single time.

Really....I didn't know that. I just like being able to change fonts on themes I like. It seems like the better the theme, the worst the font gets.

I like to wipe data/cache via Recovery after installing a ROM, and Fission and Cobalt are the only two that don't go all screwy after doing so.

I really wish the GPS worked. I also wish I knew how to fix it myself. Awesome rom but I have to flash back to something else, I use my gps at work everyday. :(

Matt said the GPS won't be fixed for "a long while."
