Robo Defense

So far this is my fav game on the droid.

Is it just me, or is air defense the hardest part of the game? Knowing what routes the planes and copters fly is vital to knowing what row(s) of anti-air turrets to place down. And SAMs are real lifesavers once you can afford them.

That said, IMO the best all-around tower in the game is the heavy missile launcher. Plop down a few of those, and if the path is robust enough, almost no ground unit can get through, even those annoying fast tanks.

I love the artillary.. I've raised thiere power and speed way up and their distance is awsome. Between a couple of those and cheap tanks to make a maze.. you can stomp the the ground forces..

Seriously if you like spending your time doing productive things do not get this game! You will not accomplish anything once you have played it..I've had it for ab a year and just recently unlocked lvl 500 and it takes well over an hour to play through one game. Getting ab 20M points per round playing on virtual stages--which I've found to yield the most points...also gotten all the way through survival mode where wave 100 is played on skill lvl 1000!! Is there anyone else out there that is further than this?

Yes this game is super addicting. I just beat the survival mode, level 100 on the basic level and it opens up an interesting tower swap mode. Just curious if anyone else out there had got this far, and what they think of the new mode.

Beat survival mode a couple weeks ago. I haven't messed too much with the tower mix mode. I would love to know what some of the codes do. I played one game that had my artillery only able to fire about 2 squares in any direction, but my machine gun towers would fire about 3 squares.

I'm obsessed with beating Courtyard on level 100 perfect, and I'm batting about 0 for 125 or so games. This game is awesome. Soooo worth the 2.99.

On the basic level, I'm up to about level 190 :) Courtyard is the worst, though. grrrrrrr. If my fascinate wasn't so beautiful, I'd have thrown my phone across the room by now.

I don't know exactly what codes do what, but it seems to vary the range, speed, and overall damage of the towers. It makes for a more interesting game imo. The best so far is an artillery that took $175 for the final upgrade, had a limited range, but the speed was increased 10 fold. Right now I'm messing with that and increasing the max level I can play. I'm up to level 500 playing the basic level.

Ivo: Do you mean you're trying to beat the courtyard, level 100 perfect on survival mode?? That sounds nuts because it would actually end up being level 1000 courtyard, which alone would be super tough. I've got a really good courtyard strategy Ivo if you want, I've beaten it up to level 300.

Has anyone gone through survival mode on a different level besides the basic level?

No, Not survival mode. Just trying to do the other maps, and Courtyard is insane. I'd love to hear your strategy. Please post!!!

thanks

The courtyard is a tough level! I went and beat it again level 300 just to make sure and ended up losing about 30 lives. But I'll share my strategy. In essence, you want to make the robos walk left and right across the screen 4 times.

First I put a slow tower at every opening. The I lay down a bunch of gun turrets. This is to create the maze. Start at the very top making it look like this:
___________| So everyone is funneled left. Then the middle left opening looks like this: (Ignore the periods)
...--
..|
..|
..|
--
This sends them up then to the right of the upper left blue block. Lay down the bottom turrets like this, starting at the middle right opening and going down:
........................--
........................|
........................|
........................|
........................|
_______________|

All you have to do now is fill in the middle and make them walk across the grass in the middle of the courtyard.

So a robo coming out of the top right will walk all the way left, all the way right again, all the way left across the grass, then right to the exit.

In the very most upper right corner I put a slow tower then one space left, one space down I put a missile tower.

I have no idea if that helps, it looks ridiculous. The gun turret just next to the middle left opening is the one I use to sell. I sell it when the guys are just about in the middle of the screen and it pulls them back. Then I put it back in and they head the other direction. Path of least resistance right? Idk if this strategy is cheesy but it's effective as hell. Then mainly focus on air towers. Sooo many air towers...

I am just beat level 650 I have gotten a perfect on survival mode as well has anyone else gotten this far....what's the highest anyone has gotten?

Robo Defense Top Scores

Does anyone have a definitive answer on WHO has the top score in this game? I just beat level 640. I use primarily the VR map with very few cubes in it (seems to be the easiest, and more space for guns, etc.)

This game is SO addicting. It has ruined my life. I have thought of opening my open private REHAB clinic just for people with this type of affliction. It is the worst disease I've ever had and I can't put it down!

Does anyone out there actually use BURN towers? I've never found a use for them.

I believe that teleport towers are the key to mastering this game.

well ever since i found and started using the gamecih2 memory hacking app, simple and mind numbingly repetitive games like this are boring. wait they were boring after the 200th level what am I saying.

Beat vr-d coded survival perfect. got i dont know 2 or 3 hundred million points. its been quite a few months though so i may be off a bit on that number.

High score WITHOUT hacking...

I guess I should have restated the question as, Who has got the highest score WITHOUT hacking into the program to cheat? I assumed that would be obvious to anyone over 10 years old. Of course if you hack into a program, you can get any score you want to, but why bother? If you're going to waste your time on a game you're cheating yourself on, why not just write your own game and give yourself the highest score in the world? I don't see the point or the fun in it. I'm pretty sure this game or any other game in the world would get pretty boring pretty fast if you hacked it in some way to make it easier.

I'm just going to pass over the hacking comment... Anyways, the game is fun as it is I don't know why you'd mess with it. I'm curious too what some of the high scores are out there. TrayBoz, what do you mean by high score? Total money earned in a level? Highest level achieved? Total points?

Right now my max level is 780. I earned a little over 30 million on a level.

I never use burn towers because the mortars will do it. I make sure they're spaced well enough so those robos feel the burn the whole way through. I only use a teleport tower or two on the path of the airplanes. Other than that my advice is "buy and sell."

Anyone use the tower mix mode? It's actually kept the game pretty spicy.
